As we serve, we are looking for opportunities to develop entreprenuership models that make a difference real difference in their communities.
Our mistakes have taught us a lot about what not to do. We have worked in agriculture, fisheries, education, earthquake recovery projects and most recently on Pertiwi, a MicroLoan enterprise in the villages nearby Medan in Northern Sumatra. In Partnership with Pertiwi 3,000 women have received loans of $100 which have enable them to develop prosperous business that bring value to the villages where they live. The women are able to pay the tuition needed for their children education and also start savings accounts, two basic things that bring much value to their lives. The default rate on the loans currently at 2%.
