Food Security

The Next Step Venezuela farming team in La Colonia has planted the first 1,200 Zucchini plants in this land to help address hunger in Venezuela. The first fruits of this effort should be ready in December, we expect 450 kilograms for every 1,000 plants. The current economic situation remains challenging as political negotiations stall between President-elect Gonzalez Urrutia and the Maduro regime. Recent reports indicate a new caravan of 1,000 migrants leaving the Mexico-Guatemala border, heading north to the USA. Next Step Venezuela is committed to supporting local communities and providing sustainable solutions to improve the quality of life, allowing families to remain in the country and thrive. In an effort to further combat hunger and promote sustainability in Venezuela, Next Step is seeking support to raise $35,000 for a food processing plant. This plant will preserve fruits and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste, ensuring that the produce grown by our dedicated farming team in La Colonia, and other local farmers, can be utilized to their fullest potential. By joining our team and contributing to this cause, you will directly impact the lives of countless families and help strengthen the local economy. Together, we can create a brighter and more sustainable future for Venezuela.
